With divorce rates around 50% in the U.S., bonus (or blended) families are becoming more and more common. With this opportunity comes challenges as well. Stepmoms often find themselves in the position of balancing many responsibilties and roles that are not always easy to manage.

After finding herself in just such a situation, Peggy Nolan tried to find resources for guidance but found that not much was available dealing specifically with the challenges of being a stepmom. So, she decided to start researching and created a support community of her own including resources dedicated to the issues that stepmoms face called The Stepmom’s Toolbox.
